Job Description
We are seeking a Girls Track and Volleyball assistant Coach who is committed to continuing the growth and success of two well-established and competitive programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for student-athlete development, and the ability to build upon a culture of excellence both academically and athletically.
The selected candidate will be responsible for facilitating the teaching and learning process within a positive and structured environment that promotes discipline, accountability, teamwork, and character development. Through the vehicle of sports, the coach will help student-athletes acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become responsible, productive, and contributing adults.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Continue to develop and sustain a competitive and successful athletic culture
- Foster positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, staff, and the community
- Promote academic achievement, character development, and sportsmanship
- Conduct practices, competitions, offseason programs, and athlete development
- Maintain compliance with district, UIL, and athletic department policies and expectations
- Collaborate effectively with campus administration and athletic staff
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor for all student-athletes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous coaching or playing experience in track and or volleyball
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop student-athletes both on and off the field
- Commitment to creating a positive and disciplined team culture
- Teaching certification and coaching credentials required according to district and state guidelines
- CDL
