Job Description

Wayne, Nebraska, Assist with direction and oversight of a comprehensive NCAA Division II compliance program which includes, but is not limited to, advising services to student-athletes; eligibility; playing and practice seasons; financial aid; enforcement; Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) policies; and all required reporting documents for the Department of Athletics. The Assistant Director will encourage a culture of compliance through education, monitoring, and enforcement of their respective policies and procedures. 1. Provide guidance on policies and procedure to enforce, monitor, and document compliance with NCAA legislation. 2. Maintain a proficient level of knowledge and understanding of NCAA legislation. 3. Collaborate with Registrar’s Office to certify athletic eligibility of student-athletes. 4. Work with Financial Aid to award and track distribution of athletic aid to student-athletes. 5. Coordinate with Athletics Business Manger to monitor expenditures for occasional meals, recruiting visits, recruiting travel and camps. 6. Provide education and rules interpretation to coaches, student-athletes, faculty, staff, and other college entities responsible for compliance with NCAA legislation. 7. Direct and enforce a reporting process to document compliance with NCAA, NSIC, and WSC policies and procedures for squad lists/eligibility reports; roster management; recruiting activity including evaluation of prospects, campus visits; practice and playing seasons including CARA reports, and coaching certification. 8. Oversee the completion and submission of required NCAA and NSIC reporting. 9. Facilitate the process for providing academic guidance for student-athletes to ensure student-athletes maintain athletic eligibility and progress-towards degree. a. Audit student-athletes semester schedule to make sure they are on track to stay eligible. b. Facilitate drop/add requests for student-athletes to sustain eligibility of student-athlete. 10. Provide education to faculty and staff who work with student-athletes to develop semester schedules that meet progress towards degree requirements. 11. Coordinate all Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) opportunities, education, reporting, and compliance with student athletes. 12. Serve as a member of the Athletic Department administrative leadership team. 13. Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Affairs. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree; experience working with  NCAA  compliance legislation and, experience with computer technology, specifically Word and Excel. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree
