Job Description

Mount Berry, Georgia, Berry College invites applications and nominations for the full-time, 10-month position of assistant baseball coach with additional responsibilities to be assigned depending on the successful candidates' skill set and experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach with the organization, supervision, and administration of an NCAA Division III intercollegiate baseball program. The candidate will also demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for and commitment to all NCAA, Southern Athletic Association (SAA), and institutional rules and regulations. The candidates should also possess good communication skills, strong leadership and mentoring abilities, and the ability to create a culture that is both disciplined and caring. Other duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, budget management, practice and game preparation/management, scheduling, compliance, public relations, alumni communication, student work supervision, fundraising, equipment management, and a commitment to the student-athlete's academic progress and degree completion. Along with coaching responsibilities, the candidates will be assigned additional responsibilities dependent on the successful candidates' skill set and experience. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
