                                 HEAD RACQUETS PROFESSIONAL           

                          CHARTWELL GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB

                                             SEVERNA PARK, MD

Chartwell Golf and Country Club is seeking an all-year-round Head Racquets Professional to help build a vibrant, inclusive racquets community. Working closely with the Director of Racquet Sports and Wellness, your responsibilities will include leading engaging adult and junior lessons, events and clinics in addition to coaching our inter and intra club team practices in tennis and pickleball.

As a key team member of the mid-level management team, you'll partner with the DORSW to provide training, direction, and support to a team of up to fifteen staff including racquet sport instructors, to ensure our racquet sport operations meet and exceed our members’ expectations upon every encounter.

ABOUT CHARTWELL GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB

Chartwell Golf & Country Club is one of the premier country clubs in the Mid-Atlantic region, fostering fun, friendship, and family values since 1961. Nestled within the English themed community named by founder Al Merrit, Chartwell Golf & Country Club caters to over seven hundred and fifty families throughout Anne Arundel County and within the affluent Chartwell neighborhood.

In addition to a world-class golf course re-designed by renowned architect, Andrew Green, Chartwell is proud to bolster the recent additions of six new pickleball courts and six rebuilt har-tru tennis courts. Chartwell G & CC also offers elegant dining experiences whether within the main clubhouse grill and dining rooms or poolside enjoying the beautiful Maryland Summer weather.

 

The racquets facility includes:

·         5 Har-Tru tennis courts (6 total after construction).

·         3 indoor courts (winter bubble)

·         6 outdoor pickleball courts (opening in first week of July)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Develop and Lead Engaging Lessons: Deliver high-energy, fun, and inclusive lessons for adults and juniors across all skill levels in both group and private settings for tennis and pickleball.

·         Collaborate and Execute Events: Support the DORSW in organizing and promoting events, clinics, round robins, and team practices for tennis.

·         Strengthen and Enhance Positive Member Experiences: Work hand-in-hand with our DORSW to deliver stellar service, anticipate and immediately address member’s needs, and ensure they feel valued.

·         Train, direct, and support the racquet staff of fifteen focused on assisting the club’s program goals and service objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Demonstrated expertise in teaching tennis and pickleball to players of all ages and skill levels.

·         Strong collegiate playing background.

·         Personable, with the ability to quickly build rapport with members.

·         Able to manage and lead a team of fifteen to reach our milestones and goals.

·         Passionate about tennis and pickleball.

·         RSPA, PTR, or PPR teaching certification preferred.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

Base Salary plus lesson revenue (commensurate with experience) paid biweekly. Meals and Uniform provided. Health, Vision, and Dental insurance available after 60 days.

Essential Requirements:

·         Must be at least 18 years old

·         Able to work 35–40 hours per week with consistent, reliable attendance

·         High School Diploma or Equivalent

·         Regular and predictable attendance

·         Physically able to perform on court job duties

·         Clay court maintenance knowledge
