Job Description

Auburn, Alabama, The Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach reports to the Head Coach, Women’s Tennis, and supports the success and development of student-athletes both on and off the court. This position provides instruction, guidance, and support during practices and competitions while promoting student-athlete performance, well-being, and overall program success. Assist with the recruitment of student-athletes at the national and international levels. Travel to meet with prospective student-athletes and support recruiting efforts. Assist with managing the recruiting database of prospective student-athletes. Assist in the development and execution of recruiting plans. Coordinate, organize and support on-campus recruiting visits. Assist in all aspects of coaching a nationally competitive Division I women’s tennis program. Support overall program planning and organization. Travel with the team to away competitions and coordinate team travel. Coordination with Equipment Manager in distribution of needed equipment and apparel. In conjunction with external support staff, supports social media platforms and related content. Assist/coordinate social media platforms Assist with alumni events and the development of fundraising opportunities. Planning and working camps and clinics Perform other administrative duties as assigned.     Qualifications: Collegiate or professional playing experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage team dynamics effectively. Demonstrated ability to organize practices and recruiting activities. Understanding of the role that intercollegiate athletics, when properly implemented, plays in the educational development of student-athletes. Thorough knowledge of tennis, coaching strategies, and student-athlete development.
