San Marcos, California, Under general direction of the Director of Athletics, the Associate Director of Athletics/Deputy Title IX Coordinator serves as an integral member of the Department of Athletics and is a member of the department’s Senior Leadership team. In addition to serving as the primary liaison between Athletics, the Dean of Students Office, The Office of Inclusive Excellence, and the Office of Title IX/DHR, the position serves as strategic and collaborative partner focused on identifying and resolving complex and high impact issues in a rapidly evolving environment. The position serves as the point of contact and oversight for inclusivity and equity initiatives in alignment with CSUSM, NCAA and CCAA conference goals. The position serves as the department point of contact for campus support services including but not limited to the Career Center, Cougar Care Network, and Student Health and Counseling Services. As the department’s Deputy Title IX Coordinator, this position will serve as the department’s primary liaison to the university regarding Title IX matters along with the Director of Athletics and as a member of the campus Clery Team. This position may have other program administration duties as assigned.

This is a full-time, exempt position in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP). MPP positions serve at the pleasure of the President.

List certificates, licenses, or education required • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 3-5 years of progressively responsible work experience within an intercollegiate athletics department. • Experience with behavioral intervention, student conduct, Title IX and/or related experience. • Experience with student-athlete development
Preferred • Master’s degree in Counseling, Educational Leadership or related field. • Administrator experience in higher education or NCAA intercollegiate athletics. • Experience developing and/or facilitating workshops/trainings • Familiarity or experience with multiculturalism programming • Education or experience with handling, coordinating and/or conducting inquiries within a college or university setting with regard to various laws or legal procedures relating to athletics and Title IX. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $7,500 - $8,334 per month
