Mayville, North Dakota, Assistant Women's Basketball Coach Mayville State University - Mayville, North Dakota Mayville State University is searching for an Assistant Coach for Women's Basketball. The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects related to running a successful NAIA collegiate athletic program, including but not limited to, functioning as the head JV coach; scheduling competitions and planning practices: recruiting, coaching, mentoring and retaining student-athletes; monitoring annual budgets; arranging team and recruiting travel; supervising assistant coaches; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations. Mayville State University competes in the Frontier Conference of the NAIA. Mayville State University currently offers nine (9) sports; four (4) for men, four (4) for women and one (1) coed. Mayville State is located between Fargo, ND and Grand Forks, ND. Compensation:         Full Salary Range: $40,687-$56,961                                     Hiring Range:  $40,687 – $48,825 - depending on experience Benefits:    Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, and tuition waiver.  Optional benefits available:  supplemental life, dental, vision, long-term care insurance, flexible spending account, and supplemental retirement plans. The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects related to running a successful NAIA collegiate athletic program, including but not limited to, functioning as the head JV coach; scheduling competitions and planning practices: recruiting, coaching, mentoring and retaining student-athletes; monitoring annual budgets; arranging team and recruiting travel; supervising assistant coaches; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations.  Required Competencies: Ability to effectively recruit and retain high quality student-athletes Highly effective communication and public speaking/presentation skills Effective planning, organizational and analytical skills Ability to work independently and within a team Work within the HPER Division and support the University, as a team member by collaborating with faculty, staff and students on committees, program planning, assessment, academic advising, and other needs as they become known.
