Asst. Coach - Special Education

Somerville High School is looking for a high energy, enthusiastic coach to help grow Yegua Athletics while serving as an Assistant Coach. The teaching field is Special Education at the High School. The applicant would have a case load.

• Asst. Volleyball
• Asst. Girls Basketball

• Head Tennis (possibly)
• Asst. Track (possibly)
• Asst. Baseball
• Asst. Football (possibly)

Somerville ISD is currently in the demo / construction phase of our bond. (Renovated Gym, Redone Baseball / Softball / Football Fields, field house at the stadium, new bathrooms / concessions at all fields)

Somerville Independent School District is a rural, 2A school district located 30 miles southwest of College Station and 3 minutes from Lake Somerville, in beautiful Burleson County. We have approximately 540 students in our district which offers small class sizes. We are currently a two campus district: Elementary / Intermediate (K-7) and a High School (8-12) with High School athletics in the middle of the day and Junior High athletics at the end of the day.

 Qualifications:

Education/Certification: 
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
