Middle School Boys Coach

Commerce Middle School – Commerce ISD

Commerce ISD is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven educator to serve as a Middle School Boys Coach at Commerce Middle School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing young student-athletes through leadership, discipline, accountability, and character while helping build a strong foundation for Commerce Athletics.

Teaching field preferred: History, Math, or CTE certification

Primary Responsibilities

• Coach and supervise middle school boys athletics
• Teach and develop fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and work ethic
• Assist with practice planning, game preparation, and athletic skill development
• Help create a positive and disciplined athletic culture aligned with Commerce ISD expectations
• Build strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, staff, and community members
• Promote academic success and monitor student-athlete progress
• Assist with supervision, transportation, and other athletic department responsibilities
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
• CDL or ability to obtain CDL preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Previous coaching experience preferred
• Ability to positively impact and motivate middle school student-athletes
