Job Title: Head Baseball Coach / Open Teaching Position (2026-2027)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team at Tom Bean High School as a Head Baseball Coach for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position also includes an open teaching role, providing an excellent opportunity for those who have a passion for both sports and education.

Responsibilities:

As the Head Baseball Coach, you will be responsible for:

1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for the baseball team.
2. Coaching and mentoring students to enhance their skills and foster a love for the sport.
3. Organizing and leading all practices, games, and team events.
4. Ensuring the physical and emotional safety of all team members.
5. Collaborating with other coaches, school staff, and parents to ensure a supportive environment for student-athletes.

As a teacher, you will be responsible for:

1. Planning, preparing, and delivering instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
2. Developing schemes of work and lesson plans.
3. Establishing and communicating clear objectives for all learning activities.
4. Providing a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
5. Assessing and recording students' progress and providing grades and feedback.

Skills:

The ideal candidate should possess:

1. Strong knowledge of baseball techniques, rules, and regulations.
2. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
3. Ability to inspire and motivate students.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to handle the physical demands of coaching baseball.
6. Strong organizational and planning skills in an educational setting.

Certifications:

Candidates must hold relevant certifications in teaching and coaching. Please note that all certifications must be valid and up-to-date.
