Brookings, South Dakota, South Dakota State University (SDState) is seeking to hire an Assistant Coach – Women’s Soccer who’s ready to bring energy, vision, and competitive spirit to a Division I program. This position will assist the head coach with maintaining a competitive Division I soccer program. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, recruitment of prospective student-athletes; development of the team/players; travel coordination; monitoring academic performance and building positive social skills. This position will also perform administrative duties, assist with summer camp responsibilities, and other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Earned bachelor’s degree by application date; At least one year of experience with collegiate coaching, club coaching, or Division I playing experience – an equivalent combination will be considered; Commitment to promote an atmosphere of compliance and adherence to institution, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations; Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; and Excellent organizational and time management skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with recruitment of prospective student-athletes in the Midwest. NSCAA National Diploma or USSF “C” license or higher Knowledge of fundraising, compliance, and academics.
