Junior High Coach

Sunnyvale ISD is seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven middle school assistant coach, with preference given to candidates interested in girls athletics. Our girls programs are among the top in the state year in and year out, with basketball, track, and volleyball consistently competing at a high level. Sunnyvale continues to grow with the addition of a new indoor facility and upgraded athletic resources.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with coaching duties in girls athletics (volleyball, basketball, track)
• Teach and develop fundamentals aligned with Sunnyvale ISD athletic philosophy
• Build strong relationships with student-athletes and serve as a positive role model
• Support strength & conditioning and off-season development
• Assist with game day operations, supervision, and travel
• Promote multi-sport participation and total athlete development
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas teaching certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Coaching experience preferred, especially at the middle school level
• Strong organization, communication, and leadership skills
• Passion for developing young athletes on and off the court/track
