Grand Oaks High School is seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Volleyball and Assistant Track Coach to join our exceptional athletic department. We are looking for an energetic, organized, and knowledgeable educator who is passionate about developing student-athletes and contributing to a culture of excellence. This individual will play a key role in supporting two competitive programs while positively impacting students in the classroom and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in coaching and developing the volleyball and track programs.
• Support the head coaches in planning and conducting practices, competitions, and offseason training.
• Teach sport-specific skills, techniques, and strategies to enhance athlete performance.
• Foster a culture of discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and accountability.
• Assist with game and meet preparation, scouting, and logistics.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and promote academic success.
• Supervise athletes during practices, competitions, and team activities.
• Collaborate with coaching staff, faculty, and administration to achieve program goals.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and the community.
• Adhere to all UIL, district, and campus policies and procedures.
• Support strength and conditioning programs throughout the year.

Qualifications:

• Coaching experience in volleyball and/or track and field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sport-specific techniques, training principles, and athlete development.
• Texas teaching certification required or ability to obtain certification.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
• Commitment to educational excellence and character development.
• CDL certification or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
