McMullen County ISD operates as a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th-grade district, serving a
total enrollment of 275 students. The junior high and high school enrollment at MCISD is 128
students. The district is characterized by strong student test performance, robust community
support, a supportive faculty and governing board, and exceptional students. MCISD received
an academic rating of 96, 2nd highest rating in the state for a traditional independent school
district. MCISD seeks a highly qualified educator/coach who will integrate into our community,

court.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:
This position includes the roles of Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Basketball Coach, with
the potential for other coaching opportunities. The secondary teaching assignment covers
grades 7-12, with a preference for Social Studies certification, though other teaching fields will
be considered.

Minimum Qualifications:
● Valid Texas Teaching Certificate.
● Current Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.

● Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a bus driving endorsement is preferred.

Compensation:
The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and degree level. Coaching
stipends are extremely competitive. MCISD also has generous retention stipends.
