Job Description

  • High school assistant coaching positions include two sports. 
  • Middle school assistant coaching positions include a combination of the following:
    • Boys (1 coordinator and 4 assistant coaches)
      • football
      • basketball or wrestling
      • track & field/cross country
    • Girls (1 coordinator and 3 assistant coaches)
      • volleyball
      • basketball or wrestling
      • track & field/cross country
  • Pete Ragus Aquatics 
    • Swim & Dive positions
      • The teaching field for this position is PE, and coaches teach the 3rd-grade water safety program in addition to coaching responsibilities at the Pete Ragus Aquatics Center all day.

Teacher Salary Schedule pays based on years of experience. The recent pay raise approved by the Lubbock ISD school board has increased pay starting at $50,900 for someone with 0 years of experience.

  • Coaching positions include a coaching stipend and most positions include additional contract days.
