Position Overview

The Hightower High School Boys Soccer Program is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and growth-oriented Assistant Boys Soccer Coach to support the continued development and success of our program. This position may serve as a Varsity Assistant and/or Sub-Varsity (JV) Head Coach, depending on experience and staffing needs.

We are looking for a coach who aspires to become a head coach in the near future and is eager to grow under the leadership of a veteran head coach within a competitive and purpose-driven athletic department.

Above all, we are seeking a transformational coach, one who is intentional about developing student-athletes not only in technical skill and tactical understanding, but also in character, discipline, leadership, and accountability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Boys Soccer Coach in planning, organizing, and implementing all aspects of the soccer program.

  • Serve as a Varsity Assistant and/or Sub-Varsity Head Coach.

  • Develop and execute detailed, purposeful practice plans aligned with program philosophy.

  • Teach and refine technical skills, tactical systems, and game management strategies.

  • Assist with scouting reports, match analysis, and film breakdown.

  • Support offseason strength, conditioning, and skill development programs.

  • Help coordinate travel, equipment, and day-to-day program logistics.

  • Monitor academic progress and promote accountability among student-athletes.

  • Reinforce program character development initiatives (Texas Way / leadership development components).

  • Maintain strong communication with players, parents, faculty, and administration.
