Job Opening: Middle School Girls Assistant Coach

Location: Galena Park ISD, possibly North Shore Middle or another school in Galena Park ISD 

Start Date: August 2026

Position Summary:

Galena Park ISD is seeking a passionate and committed Girls' Assistant Coach to lead and develop student-athletes in Volleyball, Girls' Basketball, and potentially Girls' Track. This full-time position includes a dedicated athletic period during the school day and is ideal for educators who are motivated to build strong, competitive, and character-driven programs.

Coaching Responsibilities:

• Assistant Coach for Middle School Girls' Volleyball
• Assistant Coach for Middle School Girls' Basketball
• Assistant Coach for Middle School Girls' Track

Teaching Assignment & Certification Requirements:

• Full-time teaching position with an athletic period included
• Teaching certification in one of the following areas is required:
  
  • K -12 Physical Education
  • 4-8 Generalist
  • 4-8 History
  • 4-8 Science
