Bachelor’s Degree  required; Texas License required or NATABOC Certification

District Housing Available (could amount to $10K to 15K in annual savings.

Starting Salary $56,800; Administrative Contract 201 days

Stipend: $6000

OBJECTIVE:  to plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of athletic training program for student athletes.  Also, to work under the direction of a team physician to carry out activities in the areas of:  prevention, evaluation, emergency care, physical reconditioning, and rehabilitation of injuries.

·          Primary assignment High School

o   Assist with High School practice and home game coverage

o   Travel with Football and Playoff teams

§  Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday events

o   Help with supervision of Athletic Training Students

§  Teach TSATA approved Sports Medicine Class(es)

o   201 day Admin Contract; extra days for summer coverage

§  Starting salary

·         0 yrs - $56,800

·         5 yrs - $58,474

·         10 yrs - $63,556

·         20 yrs - $72,370

§  $6000, Stipend

§  2 paid CEU events per year

§  NATA dues paid

§  State Licensure, paid

§  District housing available located in Point Comfort

§  2-4 BR available

§  Starting @ $500/month

§  Utilities are not included

·         Minimum Certification/Education

o   Bachelor’s Degree

o   Valid License from Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers

o   Current CPR/First Aid

§  Instructor preferred

·         Optional preferred qualifications:

o   1-3 years of experience

o   TSATA Sports Medicine Instructor-district will pay for getting certified

o   Master’s Degree

o   Certified Athletic Trainer, NATABOC
