At this time, the teaching fields available is Social Studies / History, Math, and possible Science (Biology) but we anticipate other SPED teaching subjects to become available. We will not have any Health / PE positions available. Candidate must be able to build meaningful relationships with the people around them, operate in a cohesive coaches office, and love coaching the fundamentals of the game / position.  Spring sport will be discussed in the interview process. The options right now are Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Track. Candidate must have their CDL or be willing to obtain before the start of the 2026 – 2027 school year. Plainview High School (in the Texas Panhandle) has just dropped from 5A to 4A. We are in a 4 team district this new realignment. Looking for assistant coaches on both sides of the football (QB or best fit; DL or DB) Varsity QB (possible pass game coordinator) - Prefer a coach with some coaching experience and at the very least, played QB at the college level. The QB coach is responsible for developing QBs from the 7th - 12th grades. If called for an interview, the expectation is to have plans in place to develop QBs at each level. Another expectation is spring QB school/clinic for all program QBs. We run a multiple spread offense out of multiple personnel groups with zone and gap scheme runs, RPOs for those runs, screens, quick game, sprint out, and drop back. Graduating QB threw for nearly 3,000 yards just in the regular season.
