Provide leadership, organization, and supervision for the district’s athletic program while also serving as a coach. The Athletic Director will ensure compliance with UIL regulations, promote student participation and character development, and maintain a competitive and well-managed athletic program suited for a small 1A district, including six-man football.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Athletic Program Leadership
Coordinate and oversee all boys’ and girls’ athletic programs (JH and HS)
Ensure compliance with UIL, district, and state policies
Develop and maintain athletic schedules for all sports
Hire, supervise, and evaluate coaching staff (in collaboration with administration)
Organize and oversee athletic budgets, equipment inventory, and facilities use
Promote sportsmanship, academic success, and character development among student-athletes
