ROLE AND PURPOSE: Assist in delivering a quality basketball program that is rooted in education-based values, high expectations, consistency, academic performance, and transformational leadership for all who participate. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION Bachelor's degree Valid Texas teaching certificate  EXPERIENCE: Basketball coaching experience General knowledge of Basketball coaching techniques and procedures Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and regulations Ability to develop, instruct, and supervise student athletes Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to) Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student-athletes who participate in basketball. Qualifications: Must be fully certified. Preferred 2-5 years head coaching experience or consideration given for a top-level assistant at a quality program.  Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Committed to developing student-athletes from pre-athletics to high school on and off the court with a focus on character, discipline, and academic success.
