At Vernon ISD, we are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Head Basketball coach to lead our program. The Head Girls Basketball Coach directs all aspects of the basketball program, providing leadership in coaching, program management, and student-athlete development. This role emphasizes building a positive, disciplined team culture, ensuring academic eligibility, and maintaining compliance with all applicable district, UIL, and Vernon ISD rules.
Core Responsibilities
Coaching & Instruction: Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and game preparations that develop individual skills, team strategy, and competitive performance.
Program Management: Oversee all levels of the basketball program; supervise assistant coaches, coordinate team travel, and manage practice and competition schedules.
