Position Overview The Assistant Athletic Trainer supports the delivery of sports medicine services to student-athletes under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer and/or team physician. This role requires classroom teaching [no teaching cert required]  Primary Responsibilities Assist in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries and illnesses Provide first aid and emergency care during practices, games, and events Design and implement rehabilitation and return-to-play programs for injured athletes Support daily operation of the athletic training room , including treatment schedules and athlete care Maintain accurate medical records, injury reports, and treatment documentation

BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY:   Plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of athletic training programs for student athletes. Hutto High School is looking for a Head Athletic Trainer. We are currently a 6A HS with 3 assistant trainers on staff. 

We are searching for someone who can be hired on either a full time  OR part time basis as an athletic trainer. We are adding this position in our district (2A district with approximately 260 students in the JH & HS) and need someone who can manage and operate all aspects of an athletic training program for grades 7-12. Pay is based on the Standard FISD Teacher Pay Scale + a $12,000 stipend.  We are an A rated school district, with supportive administration, and a great community.
