Position: Assistant Football/Possible ST Coordinator or DC

District: McCamey ISD – UIL 2A
Location: McCamey, Texas (45 minutes south of Odessa, 45 minutes east of Fort Stockton)
Position Type: Full-Time 

Teaching Field- Open (No PE)

Primary Purpose
Lead and develop competitive student-athletes in our program, which emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, academic success, and multi-sport participation. Work within our system to prepare athletes for how to compete and win.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and vision for all programs (JH through Varsity).

• Coach every rep every day. 

• Help maintain a vertically aligned program, including youth/JH development and offseason training.

• Build relationships with athletes and provide mentorship to them.

• Support and encourage multi-sport participation; collaborate with other coaches on scheduling and strength & conditioning.

• Promote academic accountability, character development, and community involvement.

• Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, staff, and administration.

• Work as hard in the classroom as you do in athletics.

• Ensure compliance with all UIL, district, and campus policies.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certification or currently enrolled in an alternative certification program.

• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Willingness to work the hours and travel demands of a small Texas ISD.

• CDL or willingness to obtain.
