Job Description

Cedar Ridge High School is seeking a highly qualified Head Girls Basketball Coach to lead and oversee all aspects of the girls’ basketball program (grades 9–12). This position carries total responsibility for program development, daily operations, and the continued growth of a strong and competitive athletic culture.

The ideal candidate is passionate about the growth and development of student-athletes and is committed to fostering excellence both on and off the court. We are looking for a leader who will build on an already successful program while continuing to elevate standards of performance, character, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the entire girls’ basketball program (9–12)
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive program philosophy aligned with campus and district expectations
  • Foster a positive, competitive team culture focused on discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Build strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, staff, and the community
  • Coordinate and supervise coaching staff across all levels
  • Organize and oversee practices, game preparation, and off-season development
  • Promote academic success, character development, and leadership among student-athletes
  • Collaborate with campus administration and athletic leadership to support the broader girls’ athletic program

Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification (Core Content)
  • Previous coaching experience, with head coaching experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to building relationships and developing young leaders
  • Ability to cultivate a culture of success, accountability, and competitiveness
