Tennis Teaching Assistant

Assist the Head Racquets Professional with all racquet activities, including lessons and clinics. Perform daily preparation and maintenance of the tennis court area. Occasionally, fill in and play when a scheduled player is absent.

Pay: $22 per hour based on experience. Additional income can be earned by providing private lessons and teaching clinics.


Education and/or Experience

Familiarity with racquet court surface preparation
Familiarity with the games and rules of racquet sports

Job Tasks/Duties 
Assist the Head Racquet Professional with on-court lessons/clinics and events 
Sweep and maintain courts daily 
Maintains court coolers, ice chests, and racquet shoe cleaners 
Puts chairs/tables in neat order 
Replenishes supplies such as ice, towels, and cups 
Performs any additional tasks needed to keep racquet courts and surrounding areas in good order 
Ensures proper quantity and quality of towels at all times and takes dirty towels to the laundry 
Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Racquet Professional 
Ability to build relationships and contribute to the success of the Racquet program 

Shift and Schedule 
Seasonal Part-time/Full-time 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 
Continuous standing, walking, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, and squatting 
Frequent lifting and moving of objects
