Job Description

We have a strong girls soccer program and a community that is ready to get behind the right person, for which we are looking for a coach who will:

·         Develop student athletes from 7-12th grade

·         Strong leader who can build relationships with all stake holders

·         Candidate must be a great communicator, skilled in public relations, very organized, and have exceptional interpersonal skills

·         Must have the ability to work effectively with students, staff and community members in promoting the District’s Athletic and Academic Programs

·         Candidate should have experience coordinating Athletic Programs including scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and staff supervision

·         Plan lessons, including activities such as preparing learning objectives and goals, designing assessments, and study material, and setting up the learning environment.

·         Prepare lesson materials, supplies, and equipment.

·         Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.

·         Provide instruction to a class, individual students, or groups of students using methods as oral presentation, demonstration, discussion, answering questions, directions, and appropriate feedback.

·         Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social and emotional development of students.

·         Manage student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.

·         Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.

·         Tutor students to accelerate learning and evaluate student performance.

·         Maintain records and document student progress.

·         Perform all duties pertaining to area of Visual Arts as required.

·         Establish and maintain contact with parents regarding to student performance through activities such as parent-teacher conferences, progress reports, letters, and special meetings.

·         Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.

·         Perform various administrative activities-attend and participate in faculty and staff meetings, serve on staff committees as required, order equipment and supplies, create bulletin boards, display student artwork on campus & in district showcase opportunities, take attendance, obtain permission slips, and coordinate department activities.

·         Monitor student behavior both inside and outside the classroom.
