The LPTA Teaching Professional would run our weekly clinics/drills & Liveball sessions; provide private, semi-private, and group lessons to our membership; and run the tennis portion of our special events. It is a seasonal position with the period of employment being May 18 - October 12, 2026.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong playing ability, enthusiasm for teaching, excellent communication and organizational skills (including some computer knowledge), and a commitment to provide a quality experience for our LPTA members.
Lincoln Park Tennis Association/Diversey Public Tennis Center is located in the heart of the city along the lake in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. We are comprised of 10 professionally maintained Har-Tru clay courts, 6 courts being a membership club, and 4 courts open to the general public. Our facility is dedicated to fostering a vibrant tennis community through accessible play and exceptional service. Part of our mission as a club is to preserve these clay courts for public and club use.
The Lincoln Park Tennis Association and Diversey Tennis Center, are Chicago’s only public CLAY COURT facility. Situated at the easternmost foot of Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park, we’re just steps away from the Lakefront trail, Diversey Harbor and the Diversey Driving Range. A “hidden gem in the city,” our idyllic setting and expertly maintained Har-Tru clay courts are open mid-May to mid-October. We welcome players of all skill levels!
