Head Boy's Track/2nd Sport(Football, Basketball)

Robstown Early College High School is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered Head Track & Field Coach who also serves as a Core Subject Teacher. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices in the classroom, leadership on and off the field, and the ability to build and manage a successful Track & Field program aligned with school and district values.

Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach an assigned core academic subject (e.g., Math, Science) in accordance with state standards and district curriculum.

Coaching Responsibilities

• Serve as Head Track & Field Coach, responsible for all aspects of the Track & Field program.
• Plan, organize, and lead practices, meets, and off-season activities.
• Supervise, evaluate, and manage the track & field coaching staff.
• Develop student-athletes’ skills while promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and academic accountability.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, administrators, and staff.
• Manage equipment, facilities, scheduling, and program budgets as assigned.
• Coach a Secondary Sport of Football or Basketball

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certification in a core subject area.
• Previous high school Track & Field coaching experience, preferably at the head coach level.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a track coaching staff.
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to student-athlete development, academics, and character building.

Compensation

• Teaching salary based on district schedule.
• Additional coaching stipend.
