Middle School Girls Teacher/Coach

Three Lakes Middle School is seeking a highly motivated and student-centered Girls Teacher/Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both academically and athletically, while fostering a positive and disciplined environment aligned with Tyler ISD’s mission of Successful Student Outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach 6th Grade Social Studies in alignment with district and state standards

• Coach and develop middle school girls' athletic programs as assigned

• Promote character development, teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship

• Monitor and support student-athlete academic progress

• Collaborate with campus staff and athletic department to ensure program alignment and success

• Maintain compliance with all UIL and district policies and procedures

• Assist with game management, travel, and supervision of student-athletes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain) in Social Studies or Science

• Coaching experience preferred, but not required

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Commitment to building relationships with students, parents, and staff

• Must have or be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Compensation:

• Salary based on Tyler ISD Teacher Pay Scale 

• Coaching stipends included per district schedule
