Nashville, Tennessee, Franklin Road Academy’s (FRA) Head Volleyball Coach to lead and grow a comprehensive volleyball program serving Middle School, Junior Varsity, and Varsity student-athletes. This individual will foster transformational growth through a competitive athletic experience while cultivating leadership, integrity, and purpose within an inclusive Christian community. This is a full-time position that includes coaching responsibilities along with teaching, administrative, or other assigned duties within the school. Essential Functions
The tasks, duties, and responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all aspects of the volleyball program (Varsity, JV, and Middle School) in alignment with the mission of Franklin Road Academy Athletics
Build and sustain a culture of competitive excellence, accountability, and high character
Serve as a transformational leader who develops the whole student-athlete—physically, mentally, and spiritually
Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate coaching staff across all levels of the program
Plan and direct all phases of the program, including in-season, off-season, and summer development
Collaborate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, budgeting, and program planning
Promote multi-sport participation and support the overall student-athlete experience at FRA
Maintain strong communication and relationships with student-athletes, parents, faculty, and administration
Support the academic success and well-being of student-athletes in coordination with faculty and support services
Represent FRA Athletics with professionalism at school and community events
Promote the volleyball program and student-athletes for appropriate recognition and collegiate opportunities
Ensure compliance with all TSSAA and NFHS rules and regulations
Model and uphold standards of sportsmanship, integrity, and faith-based leadership
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Successful experience coaching volleyball at the high school and/or collegiate level
Teaching experience or ability to contribute to the academic program preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and foster a positive team culture
Commitment to professional growth and continued coaching education
