Brookings, South Dakota, South Dakota State University (SDState) is seeking a dynamic Broadcast Services Assistant to help create impactful video, design, and social media content that continues to elevate our athletics brand. This role supports storytelling across multiple sports—with a primary focus on football—by producing cinematic visuals and engaging digital content that highlights our student?athletes, coaches, and programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Earned Bachelor’s degree (preference in communications, journalism, or related field) by appointment date;
· Minimum one year of related experience in broadcasting or journalism;
· Minimum of one year of video experience in collegiate athletics;
· Demonstrated experience creating short form video content for social medial platform;
· Demonstrated strong computer application skills;
· Self-directed and motivated;
· Effective communication (oral, written and interpersonal) skills;
· Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
· Ability to work various hours including nights and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience with video and producing collegiate sports;
· Experience with producing sports content for distribution on a daily or weekly basis;
· Knowledge and understanding of athletic sports programs;
· Knowledge and understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud software
