Girls Head Basketball Coach / Teacher Opening

We are seeking an energetic, passionate leader to serve as Head Girls Basketball Coach at a competitive Texas 5A high school program. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships, develop student-athletes, and lead a program with strong potential both on and off the court.

Teaching fields are open in all areas except Health and Physical Education.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage all aspects of the girls basketball program

• Develop student-athletes in skill, character, leadership, and academics

• Coordinate offseason, summer, and strength programs

• Build positive relationships with players, parents, staff, and community

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with feeder middle schools and youth programs

• Develop structure, alignment, and skill progression across feeder programs to ensure continuity and long-term success

• Work collaboratively with campus administration and athletic department

• Teach in assigned academic content area

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas teaching and coaching certification

• Previous varsity high school basketball coaching experience required

• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, player development, and program organization

• Ability to build a positive, disciplined, and competitive culture

• Proven ability to build relationships and create alignment with feeder school programs

• Commitment to academic and athletic success 

2nd sport may be required
