Jordan HS Defensive Backs Coach

Jordan High School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Defensive Backs Coach to work with our high school football program for grades 9–12. This position includes coaching responsibilities along with a core academic teaching assignment. The ideal candidate will be committed to student-athlete development both on and off the field.

Coaching Responsibilities

• Coordinate and coach the defensive backs position for grades 9–12
• Develop and implement position-specific drills and game plans
• Assist with overall defensive schemes and game preparation
• Support player development, discipline, and academic success
• Collaborate with head coach and staff within the football program

Teaching Responsibilities

• Teach a core subject area as assigned (based on certification and school needs)
• Maintain classroom management and instructional standards
• Support the school’s academic mission and student achievement goals

Qualifications

• High school football coaching experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of defensive back techniques and schemes
• Valid teaching certification or eligibility in a core subject area
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Valid CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Additional Information

• Compensation provided per district salary schedule and coaching stipend
• Must meet all district and state employment requirements
