Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach (No 2nd Sport) – Job Posting

Fossil Ridge High School is seeking a highly motivated, committed, and team-oriented individual to serve as a Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach for the Fossil Ridge Panthers Baseball Program. This position is an opportunity to be part of a competitive program that emphasizes character, development, and championship culture. Fossil Ridge High School is part of Keller ISD, with starting salaries and stipends that are highly competitive both locally and statewide.

Position Overview

This position will work directly with the Head Baseball Coach to support all aspects of the baseball program, including varsity and sub-varsity levels. This individual will help develop student-athletes both on and off the field while upholding the standards and expectations of Fossil Ridge High School and Keller ISD.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily practices for all levels
• Coach a specific position group (e.g., pitching, infield, outfield, or catching)
• Support strength, conditioning, and player development programs
• Assist with game preparation, scouting reports, and opponent analysis
• Help coordinate and manage sub-varsity teams (lineups, travel, communication)
• Monitor and support academic progress and UIL eligibility of student-athletes
• Promote and model strong character, discipline, and sportsmanship
• Assist with equipment management, uniform distribution, and inventory
• Support field maintenance and facility upkeep
• Supervise athletes during practices, games, travel, and offseason activities
• Build positive relationships with players, parents, faculty, and community members

Qualifications

• Previous baseball coaching experience (high school or higher preferred)
• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, player development, and team strategy
• Ability to build relationships and positively impact student-athletes
• Teaching certification - CTE/Business preferred (or ability to obtain), we do have some flexibility with other core certs.
• CDL certification (or ability to obtain)
• Must meet all Keller ISD and UIL requirements
