Assistant Boys Basketball Coach / SpEd ICS Teacher

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Assistant Boys Basketball Coach who is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the court. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, commitment to teamwork, and a willingness to support the head coach in all aspects of the program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, games, and team activities
• Provide positive mentorship and foster a supportive team environment
• Help develop players’ fundamental basketball skills, sportsmanship, and character
• Support game-day operations, including setup, strategy execution, and player management
• Encourage academic success and personal growth among student-athletes
• Maintain open communication with players, parents, and school staff
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic at all times

Qualifications:

• Previous basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching staff
• Commitment to supporting the vision and leadership of the Head Coach
• Availability for practices, games, and team events
• Must meet all school/district and state requirements for coaching positions
