Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-centered High School Coach to lead, mentor, and develop student-athletes both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will foster a positive team culture, emphasize sportsmanship, and support the academic success and personal growth of all players.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and training sessions
  • Develop game strategies and prepare athletes for competition
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and respect among players
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes
  • Monitor academic progress and encourage academic achievement
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration
  • Maintain equipment, uniforms, and facilities
  • Adhere to school, district, and athletic association policies
  • Adhere to all TEA/UIL policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous coaching or competitive playing experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire high school students
  • Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and training methods
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Teaching certification
  • Have a CDL or willing to obtain
