Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-centered High School Coach to lead, mentor, and develop student-athletes both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will foster a positive team culture, emphasize sportsmanship, and support the academic success and personal growth of all players.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and training sessions
- Develop game strategies and prepare athletes for competition
- Promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and respect among players
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes
- Monitor academic progress and encourage academic achievement
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration
- Maintain equipment, uniforms, and facilities
- Adhere to school, district, and athletic association policies
- Adhere to all TEA/UIL policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous coaching or competitive playing experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire high school students
- Knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and training methods
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Teaching certification
- Have a CDL or willing to obtain
