Head Girls Basketball

Gainesville High School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Head Girls Basketball Coach to lead and grow our program at all levels. This position requires a passionate educator and coach who is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the court while building a strong, unified program from youth leagues through the high school level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive girls basketball program that aligns all levels (youth, junior high, and high school)
• Foster a disciplined, structured environment that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship
• Create a positive, fun, and inclusive culture that encourages participation from all female student-athletes
• Plan and conduct effective practices, game strategies, and offseason development programs
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure program continuity and success
• Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes in academics, athletics, and character

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas teaching certification (Core subject areas only)
• Demonstrated experience coaching basketball, preferably at the high school level
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to student-athlete development and program building
