Head Athletic Trainer

Northwest ISD – (New) Davis High School

Position Details:

o   224 – day contract

o   Teacher pay Scale (Competitive Pay) + $5,500 stipend

o   Full-Time

o   No Classroom Teaching

Description:

Davis will open in August of 2027, but we are hiring this position one year early. For the 2026 school year the Head Athletic Trainer will assist with middle school coverage and begin ordering all athletic training equipment and supplies for Davis High School. When Davis opens in 2027 it will contain 9th and 10th grade students only and will add a grade the following two years.

Responsibilities:

Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries while working under the direction of a team physician. Support all athletic programs through practice and game coverage, injury management, and communication with coaches, parents, and medical professionals. Build and maintain a student sports medicine program.

Qualifications

o   Bachelor’s Degree

o   Licensed Athletic Trainer (Texas/BOC)

o   Current CPR/AED Certification

o   Teacher Certification or willing to get Emergency Certification
