Weimar High School is seeking a passionate, relationship-driven, and highly motivated
Head Softball Coach to lead one of the most tradition-rich programs in the state. This is an

This position provides the opportunity to oversee and align the entire girls’ softball program
from junior high through varsity competition.
Teaching Field
Open teaching field: Weimar ISD is flexible and will work to align the teaching assignment
with applicant certification and district needs.
Additional Leadership Opportunity
There is a potential opportunity to serve as the Girls Athletic Coordinator for qualified
candidates who demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and a vision for
growing the entire girls athletic program.
Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the high school softball program (Varsity & sub-varsity levels)
• Oversee and coordinate the Junior High Softball program to ensure skill
development and program alignment
• Develop athletes through skill instruction, strength and conditioning, and character
development
• Foster strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, youth coaches, and the
community
• Support and collaborate with youth programs to ensure long-term program growth
• Promote academic accountability and leadership development
• Maintain compliance with UIL and district policies
Qualifications
• Valid Texas teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
• Valid CDL (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to developing the whole student-athlete
• Previous head coaching experience preferred

Salary Info: Very competitive Salary. WISD also pays a $2000 Christmas Bonus in
November and a $1500 Retention Bonus in July for those coming back for the next school
