Weimar ISD is seeking an outstanding leader to serve as the Head Volleyball Coach at
Weimar High School. We are looking for a coach who is passionate about developing
student-athletes, building strong relationships, and continuing the proud tradition of
excellence that defines Weimar volleyball

This position provides the opportunity to oversee and align the entire girls’ volleyball
program from junior high through varsity competition.

Teaching Field
Open teaching field: Weimar ISD is flexible and will work to align the teaching assignment
with applicant certification and district needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall volleyball program (Varsity & sub-varsity levels)
• Promote a positive team culture and strong work ethic in our student-athletes
• Develop athletes through skill instruction, strength and conditioning, and character
development
• Foster strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, youth coaches, and the
community
• Support and collaborate with youth programs to ensure long-term program growth
• Promote academic accountability and leadership development
• Collaborate with campus and district leadership to support student success
• Maintain compliance with UIL and district policies

Qualifications
• Valid Texas teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
• Valid CDL (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to developing the whole student-athlete
• Previous head coaching experience preferred

growing the entire girls athletic program.

Salary Info: Very competitive Salary. WISD also pays a $2000 Christmas Bonus in
November and a $1500 Retention Bonus in July for those coming back for the next school
year. Pay $460 towards insurance.
