Head Girls Basketball Coach/ 2nd Sport

Schulenburg ISD is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and community-oriented leader to serve as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Schulenburg High School. This position includes teaching responsibilities in a Core Subject area.

Program Highlights:

• Coming off a 2nd round playoff appearance
• 25–9 overall record in the most recent season
• Returning 85% of total scoring
• Junior Varsity team lost only 2 games all season
• Strong tradition of success across the girls athletic program

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas teaching certification in a Core Subject area
• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and sustain a competitive basketball program
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court
• Desire to connect with and positively impact the community

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the girls basketball program (Varsity, JV, and sub-varsity)
• Foster a culture of excellence, discipline, and teamwork
• Collaborate with campus staff and athletic department
• Engage with parents, students, and the broader Schulenburg community
