Assistant Swim Coach

Jordan High School is seeking a certified teacher to serve as an Assistant Swim Coach. This full‑time position supports the development of a competitive, disciplined, and team‑oriented swim program competing in Katy ISD 6A.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and conducting swim practices, meets, and athlete development

• Support academic monitoring and eligibility requirements

• Help coordinate meet preparation, entries, and travel logistics

• Contribute to offseason conditioning and skill development

• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and staff

• Teach a core academic subject as part of the full‑time role

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in a core subject

• Coaching or competitive swimming experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of stroke technique, training plans, and meet operations

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
