Job Description

1. Tennis Instruction 

  • Conduct private and group tennis lessons, catering to all skill levels.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that are engaging, educational, and fun.
  • Provide constructive feedback to players to improve their skills and performance.
  • Organize and run tennis clinics, drills, and match play sessions.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of tennis tournaments and events.
  • Commission on lessons & clinics.

2. Program Coordination

  • Plan and lead tennis programs, including clinics, and social events.
  • Engage with participants to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with members regarding their progress and program activities.
  • Collaborate with the tennis team to develop innovative programs to enhance member engagement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience teaching tennis, preferably at a club or similar setting.
  • USPTA or PTR certification (or working towards certification) is preferred.
  • Strong playing ability, minimum of 5.0 USTA rating with a solid understanding of the game.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work with children and adults in a positive and professional manner.
  • Basic knowledge of court maintenance and equipment handling.

Working Conditions

  • Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to spend extended periods standing, teaching, and performing maintenance tasks.
