Head Baseball / Assistant Football

Weimar ISD is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Head Baseball Coach to lead the storied baseball program at Weimar High School. The Wildcats baseball program has a proud and rich tradition, highlighted by five UIL State Championships, strong community support, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and o the field. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a coach who is passionate about building young men through athletics while continuing the tradition of excellence in Wildcat baseball. 

Teaching Field Open teaching field:  Weimar ISD is flexible and will work to align the teaching assignment with applicant certification and district needs. 

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the Weimar ISD baseball program (Varsity & sub varsity levels)

• Promote a positive team culture and strong work ethic in our student-athletes

• Develop athletes through skill instruction, discipline, strength and conditioning, and character development

• Foster strong relationships with student-athletes, parents, youth coaches, and the community

• Support and collaborate with youth programs to ensure long-term program growth

• Promote academic accountability and leadership development

• Collaborate with campus and district leadership to support student success

• Maintain compliance with UIL and district policies Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certification (or ability to obtain)

• Valid CDL (or willingness to obtain)

• Demonstrated knowledge of baseball fundamentals and program development

• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills

• Commitment to developing the whole student-athlete and building a positive team culture

• Previous head coaching experience preferred

Salary Info:  Very competitive Salary. WISD also pays a $2000 Christmas Bonus in November and a $1500 Retention Bonus in July for those coming back for the next school year.
