Boys Assistant Coach (Potential Spring Head Coaching Opportunity)

Evant High School is seeking a dedicated and energetic Boys Assistant Coach with the potential for future Head Coaching responsibilities. We are looking for a high-character leader who is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field/court and who embraces the values of teamwork, accountability, and competitive excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting daily practices and game preparation
  
  

• Support skill development, strength and conditioning, and offseason programming
  
  

• Help foster a disciplined, positive team culture
  
  

• Mentor student-athletes in leadership, academics, and character
  
  

• Collaborate with head coach and athletic staff to execute program goals
  
  

• Ensure compliance with UIL and district policies
  
  

Preferred Qualities

• Strong communication and organizational skills
  
  

• Ability to motivate and connect with student-athletes
  
  

• Knowledge of current strategies, training techniques, and player development
  
  

• Commitment to building a competitive and respected program
  
  

• Team-oriented mindset with leadership potential
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certification (or ability to obtain) Teaching Open
  
  

• Coaching experience preferred
  
  

• CDL certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
