Job Description:
The Wharton Tigers are seeking a dedicated and skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team immediately. This individual will be responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for all Wharton ISD sports programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student-athlete health and performance and committed to upholding the highest standards of care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site injury prevention, evaluation, and emergency care during practices and games

• Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes

• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records

• Collaborate with coaches, parents, physicians, and school staff regarding athlete care and return-to-play decisions

• Ensure proper maintenance and inventory of athletic training supplies and equipment

• Promote a positive and professional image of the athletic department

Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)

• Licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

• CPR and First Aid certified

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Experience working in a high school or similar athletic environment preferred
