  • Supporting the Head Coach:
    Assist the head coach in all aspects of program development, including practice planning, game strategy, and player development and other related duties as assigned.

  • Player Development:
    Provide one-on-one instruction and feedback to athletes, monitor their progress, and help them achieve their full potential while adhering to local district, state, and federal regulations.

  • Practice Coordination:
    Assist with organizing and running practices, including drills, skill development exercises, and game simulations and be responsible for their assigned position group.

  • Game Strategy: Experience in the Wing-T or Slot-T a bonus
    Help in planning and executing game strategies, including scouting opponents, analyzing game footage, and developing in-game adjustments. 

  • Logistics:
    Coordinate logistics for practices and games, including scheduling, transportation, and equipment and monitoring of athletes at all times. 

  • Communication:
    Maintain composure and open communication with athletes, parents, and other staff members. 

  • Event Organization:
    Assist with organizing and managing team events, including practices, games, and special events like award nights. 

  • Team Building:
    Promote a positive and inclusive team environment, fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. 

  • Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with all team, league, and educational institution rules and policies. 

  • Professional Development:
    Stay up-to-date on coaching techniques, strategies, and best practices. 

  • Fundraising:
    Assist with fundraising activities as needed. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Prior experience as an assistant coach or in a similar role is preferred; Experience in our scheme is a bonus.

  • Education: A bachelor's degree minimum

  • Certifications: Certification in related teaching fields is necessary; alternative programs or probationary status is case by case. 

  • Knowledge of the Sport: Strong knowledge of the specific sport and coaching techniques is essential; the second sport is as important as the first assignment.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication, are necessary. 

  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate athletes as a positive role model is non-negotiable.

  • Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills are needed to manage practices, games, and other team activities or assignments presented by the head coach.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with athletes, parents, and other staff members is critical.

  • Physical Fitness: The ability to meet the physical demands of the environment and exposure to the outdoor elements during the season is necessary.

  • First Aid/CPR: Basic first aid and CPR certification is required.

CDL with Passenger Endorsement: Required or medical exemption.
