Runge is looking for a defensive coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. Football went 8-3 with the schools first District Championship in 30 years. We are only losing one 2-way starter from last year’s team. We have also dropped to Div 2. Teaching field is open as of now. Head coaching opportunities for winter/springs are available as well. We are looking for a highly motivated coach to take on the PE department here at Chester ISD. Coaching position is for assistant baseball, basketball,  other sport if wanted. Coach would need to be knowledgeable in baseball and have experience coaching or playing. Baseball has been very successful and we are looking for the right coach to help continue the tradition.
