We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled, state-certified Elementary/Junior High Physical Education Teacher who is passionate about developing students’ athletic abilities and fostering lifelong fitness habits. The ideal candidate will emphasize structured sports skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical literacy, and will genuinely enjoy working with others, building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. This role also includes serving as an assistant coach for our football program and either our baseball or basketball program.  Three sports is an option.  Candidate must have or be willing to obtain a class B CDL for bus driving. Primary Purpose:    Plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of the athletic training program for student athletes. Work under the direction of the team physician to prevent, recognize, assess, manage, treat, and recondition athletic injuries and illnesses.    Education/Certification:    Bachelor’s degree Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned Valid license from Texas Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers  Current adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certification    Special Knowledge/Skills:     Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and injury prevention Ability to provide emergency care and rehabilitation for student athletic injuries Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes and assistants Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience: 3 years experience as an athletic trainer preferred...

Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for all sport teams ( in-season, off-season, and pre-season). Supervise training sessions, ensuring athletes perform exercises with proper form and technique to maximize efforts and prevent injury. Conduct assessments and evaluations to track athlete progress and adjust training programs as needed. Provide basic nutritional guidelines and advice as they pertain to athletic development and recovery. Bachelor's degree and NSCA, CSCS or equivalent certification preferred 210 contract / Pay Grade AD3
